How to Prevent the Next Mass Shooting

In the aftermath of the Nashville School Shooting on March 27, 2023 we have learned how to prevent the next mass shooting.

According to Democrats and the Gun Control Lobby the answer is More Laws restricting so called “Assault Weapons.” As mentioned in yesterday’s article, Nashville School Shooting, the shooter already violated at least three laws. Additional laws would not have deterred the shooter.

No, the answer was actually provided by the shooter. She originally planned to go to a different school, but when she determined that the first school was “too secure”, she moved on to her next target, where she was able to succeed. There, my friends, is the answer. We MUST secure our schools to protect our children.

As much as I hate the thought of schools with bars on the doors and windows, and keeping them all shut and locked, we must do this until we can determine and resolve the mental health crisis facing our nation. Yes, most of the perps in these mass shooting are suffering from some kind of mental illness. Anyone willing to kill 9-year old children the way this shooter did is not right in the head. The shooter was under a Doctor’s care for an “emotional disorder”. As an aside, the shooter was female but “identified” as a male.

Although the school was locked, the perp was able to quickly gain entry by shooting out the glass doors on the side of the building. Once the glass was shattered she then slipped in through the opening where the glass once stood. At least a door was not left partially opened like in the Ulvade, TX school shooting, but a glass door is not a very strong barrier to someone bound and determined to get inside and carry out such a heinous act.

We secure our courthouses, federal buildings, airports and other sensitive areas. Why don’t we do the same with our nation’s most precious resource?
